Our client, a marketing agency in Crewe, is looking for an Agency Marketing Executive / Account Manager with a proven track record in either direct marketing or online marketing that is looking to take the next step.

 

This role acts as the marketing resource for a number of client accounts, assisting them with the strategy, definition and implementation of their direct marketing and / or online campaigns.

 

The client will consider candidates from both client and agency side.

 

As a member of the account management team, and under the guidance of the Head of Account Management, you will have profit and loss responsibility for between three to five clients, with the scope to increase. 

 

To get the most from this position you will have to be a confident and outgoing individual, be diligent and very hard working.

 

It is anticipated that you will be managing at least one account executive within the first six months with the company.

 

You will be based in their Crewe office and join a growing company with great opportunities for long term promotion and development.

           

Responsibilities:

 

The account management team is responsible for managing and delivering against their client’s expectations. Under the guidance of the Head of Account Management, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of your client and agency relationships
  • Act as the marketing specialist for your account customers
  • Recommending ways to improve email campaign performance such as segmentation and creative advice
  • Find ways to add value to the data & reporting and leverage the client’s knowledge of their site’s performance and consumer behaviour
  • Write and present on a campaign or web sites’ success and identify areas for improvement
  • Negotiate and secure contract renewals and generate incremental sales
  • Ensure the client generates maximum return from their online marketing investment; covering email, display, paid for search engine marketing as well as web site optimisation
  • Regularly meet with your clients to ensure that other agency team members fully understand and deliver against their expectations.

 Candidate’s ideal qualities:

  • Have a strong desire to work for an online / direct marketing focused company
  • Understanding of online or direct marketing
  • Able to demonstrate that you have added value to existing client relationships through effective strategic and tactical planning
  • Organised and hardworking
  • Confident and a good communicator
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and very capable with Excel
  • Experience at managing people to get the best of their capabilities

Above all, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they would be an exceptional rather than average employee and prove this through past successes, achievements and promotions.

 

Salary:             £24,000 - £30,000 depending on skills plus benefits and bonus

 

Benefits:

 

You will have the opportunity to join the company’s pension scheme and health plan after successfully completing a probationary period.

 

You will also join the account manager bonus scheme after completion of the probationary period.

 

Hours of work:

 

Core hours of 8:45am to 5:30pm and as an employee of a fun, dynamic and hard working team you’ll be expected to work whatever hours are needed to complete all tasks and meet the department and client’s objectives. However, this will not be unreasonable hours.
