My client is a full-service creative marketing agency specialising in technology channel marketing. Their customers include Toshiba, Hitachi, EMC, HTC, Trend Micro and Microsoft. They also work with non-technology customers for example working recently on  pieces for a city law firm, an investment bank and a housing development. They currently employ over 40 professionals across the client services, studio and development teams.

They’re looking to add a full-time junior member to the development team to work on new and ongoing web development projects for their clients. A suitable candidate needs to be dedicated, self-motivated and a highly-skilled programmer. Since the role is customer-facing a suitable candidate needs to be outgoing and have excellent written and spoken communication skills including fluent English.

My client’s chosen technologies for web development are PHP Symfony for rapid development, TYPO3 for WCMS and jQuery for user interaction.

The role is based in the Buckinghamshire office but will also involve occasional travel to meet with clients.

Essential

• Object orientated PHP
• HTML+CSS
• Familiarity with the ins and out of Javascript
• Experience with Linux/Unix shells
• Experience of version control systems
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and documentation techniques
• An attention to detail
• An interest in social media and technological trends
• A dislike of corner-cutting

Desirable

• Experience of web services API integration
• Use of the Symfony, CakePHP, Zend or Smarty PHP frameworks
