Our client is a direct response and relationship marketing agency with an impressive client list.
They are looking for a Senior Account Manager to look after a new client they have secured.
They are providing a unique opportunity for a marketing professional to take on a Senior Account Manager role, whereby you will be operating both client side and agency side.
This opportunity lies within one of their prestigious accounts and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on the licence managing role client side at the customer's offices (central London), 3 days a week, liaising with all of the client's licensed stores and various licence store managers.
The role involves advising the end customer on how their processes can be improved in the context of national campaigns, ensuring that all licensed store managers’ needs are translated to head office and subsequently implemented.
In addition, whilst the chosen candidate is based at the agency 2 days a week, they will continue to work on any proposal development on their named account and push the growth of the account. They will also be focusing on positioning the agency as both a strategic and creative agency.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for an exceptionally strong and dependable individual who is motivated by being part of a first class account handling team, someone who has a track record of working collaboratively both within the realms of the agency and with the client.
Given the nature of the role, we will be looking for someone who is extremely versed in working cross departments.
They will have exceptional account management skills to enable them to manage the cross-over of their daily work.
Ideally they will have retail experience either client and or agency side. Integrated and affiliate marketing experience in addition to CRM would also be beneficial. They will have excellent interpersonal skills as this is an extremely people led role.
This person will be continually striving to help the agency meet its governing objective, to be the best in class for strategic and creative ideas that achieve clients’ business objectives, delivered by faultless execution.
The role
Role and responsibilities:
The position will be to work specifically on this named retail account and will include some UK travel.
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing and monitoring the smooth running of specific projects through all stages of development, implementation and campaign evaluation
- Contributing to the development of the account by working closely with the Senior Account Director.
- Financial management of the client’s business and projects
- Seeking and implementing improvements to working processes
- Successfully managing and motivating Junior team members, dealing with objectives settings and long term / training goals
- Ensuring the smooth running of the account and providing first point of contact to clients in case of problems
- Ensuring suppliers deliver the highest quality possible for clients and managing situations as and when they arise
- Management of larger / high profile projects
- Building and establishing excellent working relationships internally and with Clients
The individual must be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to develop strategic skills by working closely with the Senior Account Director
- The ability to write proposals and briefs
- The ability to manage other team members
- The ability and commercial experience to be able to enmesh themselves on a cross department basis within the client’s business, to ensure flawless communication and the smooth running of all projects
Salary:
Salary will depend on the skills but will be between £35-40K.
