Our client is a multi-award winning market leader in internet broadcast and due to expansion and continued profitability they are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their team in Camden Town, London. You will have strong experience in LAMP stack systems administration.

As the Senior Systems Administrator, your key objective will be to maintain the office and data centre environments and the growth and development of the IT department, whilst controlling the annual budget and overseeing best practice in IT.

You will be supported by the CTO, and there is strong potential to grow the role into a board level position targeted with influencing commercial decisions and introducing technology.

This position would best suit someone who has extensive experience in a hands-on Systems Administrator role with some man management experience.

Additionally your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing a 24/7 team responsible for proactive infrastructure monitoring and incident response resolution
• Management of SLAs, contracts and procedures
• Development of methods of process automation for infrastructure management
• Development and implementation of monitoring tools
• Measuring and reporting on the responsiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency of the network operations team
• Providing hands-on leadership during service impacting events
• Coordinating system maintenance and software changes, while minimising customer impact and maximising the productivity of company resources
• Development and management of a unified internal and external infrastructure, supporting staff and customers
• Effectively communicating with stakeholders, team members, other departments and external entities on behalf of the company

Able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in a Systems Administration role
• Degree level of education in computer science, information systems or equivalent
• Extensive IT experience with proven experience of managing growth in a web services environment
• Strong technical understanding of high availability web hosting
• Experience working in a high traffic multi-data centre web environment and with CDN partners
• Experience with network and server diagnostic tools
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to install, configure and support a variety of networking and server hardware from a variety of vendors

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 + Bonus (Client will pay higher salary depending on skills)
