They are actively seeking a developer with the passion and skill to develop highly scalable and highly available online systems. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of developing elegant solutions to unique problems.

Essential skills:

• The ability to rapidly, clearly and confidently articulate adequate solutions to technical challenges
• Demonstrable experience developing systems for large scale deployment
• Proven commercial C# development experience

You will need experience in the following:

• A wide range of Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, IIS and C#
• A wide range of web-related technologies, including JavaScript, HTML and HTTP
• Developing, iterating and delivering at a rapid pace
• Managing a rapidly evolving workload
• Dealing with extremely large volumes of data

Highly Desirable:

• Multi-threading
• Experience with large-scale data mining, machine learning, optimisation algorithms or predictive modelling in industry/production.
• Broad and current knowledge in machine learning / statistics
• Hands-on programming experience with languages such as C/C++, Java or Python
• Experienced software / research / data engineer with expert-level database and distributed systems skills (SQL, data modelling, Hadoop, MapReduce).
• Large dataset experience, preferably working with complex enterprise / web logs datasets
• Practical knowledge of Internet Marketing and Advertising optimization systems is a big plus

Job Functions:

• Develop real-time and offline data processing systems with unique performance requirements.
• Participate in the design and management of a rapidly expanding technology stack processing billions of transactions.
