Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity working as a Systems Support Engineer to be based near Witney, Oxfordshire?

 

You will be working for a successful Managed Service Provider, the role will include being on an call rota and 24/7 shift patterns.

 

Main Duties of the Role

  • To ensure compliance with the defined security policies regarding access to the Internal systems
  • To ensure that the internal systems uptime is maintained at the required level
  • Maintain an accurate asset register
  • To ensure all systems and devices are updated and secured in a timely manner
  • To ensure that backups and business continuity procedures are adhered to
  • Monitor/manage the internal call queue to ensure all incidents are dealt with within agreed SLA timescales
  • Make recommendations on potential improvements to internal systems
  • To ensure all support work undertaken is accurately recorded on the Service Management Systems and keeping it up-to-date

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years experience in a similar position
  • Windows Server OS technologies
  • Microsoft 365
  • Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and HyperV
  • Veeam Backup technologies
  • Server hardware
  • SAN and QNAP Storage
  • Wired and Wireless Networking technologies

Desirable

  • MCSE or MCSA Windows server or similar
  • IP telephony
  • SolarWinds monitoring solutions
  • Scripting
  • Microsoft Azure

 

Salary

  • £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience
