Xact Placements have partnered with a successful Service Provider based in East London (Nr. Liverpool Street) who are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Providing support to clients on hosted and on premise IT systems
  • Troubleshooting, finding faults, resolving issues and monitoring alerts
  • Managing tickets in line with SLA’s
  • Carrying out maintenance on desktops, servers & network devices
  • Updating documentation when required
  • Visiting customer side to provide onsite support

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience within a similar position, ideally within a MSP
  • Vast troubleshooting experience and solving IT incidents
  • Excellent networking knowledge
  • Solid experience in: Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V and Office 365
  • PowerShell scripting skills
  • Good understanding of backups (such as Veeam)
  • Competent in Windows and Linux environments
  • Fortinet experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of ITIL

Salary

  • £45,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
