Recruitment Leader Ben Baverstock
Our MD Ben Baverstock has been in the recruitment sector for more than two decades and is still hands on with client’s and candidates on a daily basis, as well as reinvesting his knowledge in his team. This has allowed us to build a vast network within the sectors we operate, our consultants going out of their way to ensure they are matching the right job seekers to the right companies on all levels, rather than just technical knowledge or skills.
This has led to the words ‘client’ and ‘candidate’ becoming interchangeable.

Ben Baverstock
Managing Director
We often joke in the office that I have been in recruitment now for longer than one of my employees has been alive, but I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
Having left school at 19 unable to pursue a career in the RAF I took to recruitment almost by accident, grabbing a temp job as a young man to fund my playtime. That was until I landed a role working for one of the most well-known agencies in the Thames Valley area, where I learnt my trade and honed my skills. I soon found that he had a strong passion for the industry and enjoyed success in the contract Software Development market.
Following this I gained first-hand experience at ground level at a startup agency, developing it into a successful company in its own right, before being offered a directorship and eventually deciding to set up Xact.
Xact has now enjoyed over a decade of strong client and candidate relationships after being founded in a recession and navigated a Global Pandemic we are looking forward to further developing these, as well as starting new relationships in the new recruitment landscape.
I’m a massive family man, my wife, two boys and twin girls keep me on my toes and very happy.
I can often be found supporting my boys for their local football team at the weekend or when I have the time, bike riding and more importantly drinking red wine and eating – alot!
I am an ageing ex-Vespa riding Mod, turned Harley riding Rocker, a keen lover of music and self-confessed Apple fanboy.

Charlotte Baverstock
Director
Charlotte has been with Xact since 2012, bringing over 12 years of Sales and Marketing recruitment experience to the team.
As well as being a Director at Xact she is an accomplished Senior Consultant, managing key client accounts, contract negotiation, business development and overseeing the recruitment and mentoring of junior members of the Xact team.
Throughout her career Charlotte has developed a wonderful eye for sales and marketing talent and has a proven track record of successfully identifying and placing top talent in difficult to fill positions.
Her communication style, work ethic, and being accessible at all times sets Charlotte apart from other recruiters.
Charlotte is a wife and busy mum to two sons and most recent additions – twin daughters, who certainly keep her fit.

Rebecca Needham
Recruitment Consultant
Since joining Xact at the beginning of 2017, Rebecca has had 3 promotions and worked her way up to Recruitment Consultant. Xact have sent Rebecca on a number of handpicked external training courses to compliment the internal training provided to ensure that when she was ready to make the jump to consultant, she was fully equipped for the role.
Rebecca loves a chat and makes sure she takes her time to get to know our clients and candidates to make sure she finds the right candidate for the right role, in addition to managing our job advertisements and database, she currently hold the ‘superuser’ status within the business
Throughout her time at Xact she has enjoyed a number of incentives such as; quarterly do’s with excellent food and entertainment, gift vouchers, a brand new MacBook Air and a trip to Disneyland Paris, to name a few.
Outside of work, Rebecca is kept busy with her Beagle who demands a lot of fuss and walks. She likes keeping up to date with the latest shows on Netflix and enjoys the occasional trip to the West End (she saw Aladdin 6 times in 2019 before it closed down!). Rebecca has also made it to 3 of the 6 Disney Parks across the world and wants to visit them all one day.

Oliver Tildesley
Oliver joined Xact in the first week of 2024 as a Candidate Resourcer / Associate Recruitment Consultant , with this being his first role in recruitment. He is motivated to help support the other consultants and members of the team, while improving his own skills, and helping candidates secure their dream job!
In 2022 Oliver graduated from The University of Surrey, with a degree in Business Management with Marketing, and initially started his career in the Audio-Visual industry. He thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and it has taught him that communicating with, and supporting others is one of his key talents. This was vital in making the jump to recruitment, as the role at Xact allows him the opportunity to help others, and build meaningful relationships, with clients and candidates alike along the way. In addition to this Oliver takes pride in punctuality and organisation, planning every aspect of the day ahead of him, vowing to stay on top of his workload.
Outside of the office Oliver is a keen footballer, having played as long as he can remember and at a wide range of levels, however, plays entirely recreationally now for his Saturday team. He regularly attends the gym, and enjoys learning more about all thing’s health and fitness (even if he sporadically sticks to this!). He also enjoys video games, and socialising with friends in his spare time.
Oliver is passionate about seeing how he can grow here at Xact, and about the value he can bring to the team and his network.

Office dog and Head of Morale is an important role for any business, and I do not shirk from my responsibilities.
I like to ensure that all lunch purchased by the team is put to good use and that all visitors are greeted with a warm welcome.
