Our MD’s experience is reinvested in his team with all consultants spending a varying amount of time working alongside him in the early stages of their career with Xact, regardless of level.

This has allowed us to build a vast network within the sectors we operate, our consultants going out of their way to ensure they are matching the right job seekers to the right companies on all levels, rather than just technical knowledge or skills.

This has led to the words ‘client’ and ‘candidate’ becoming interchangeable.

We understand that what works for you might not work for someone else and we get that. Understanding your key motivators for going to market to hire or for looking for a new role, coupled with our in-depth industry experience allows us to penetrate the right segment of the market at the right time and deliver results time and time again.

Meet the team

  • Ben Baverstock

    Managing Director

    Our Managing Director Ben leads by example on a daily basis as he oversees our IT and Telecoms division.

    Having left school at 19 unable to pursue a career in the RAF Ben took to recruitment, working for one of the most well known agencies in the Thames Valley area. He soon found that he had a strong passion for the industry and enjoyed success in the contract development market.

    Following this he gained first hand experience at ground level at a startup agency, developing it into a successful company in its own right before being offered a directorship and eventually deciding to set up Xact.

    Xact has now enjoyed 10 years of successful placements and are looking forward to the future with the home grown talent that Xact produces.

    Ben is a massive family man, his wife, two boys and twin girls keep him on his toes and very happy.

    He can be found supporting his eldest for his local football team at the weekend or when he has the time, bike riding and more importantly drinking red wine and eating – alot!

    He is an ageing ex-Vesper riding Mod, turned Harley riding Rocker, a keen lover of music and self-confessed Apple fanboy.

  • Kala Coles

    Resourcer & Trainee Recruitment Consultant

    Kala is new to recruitment. She previously worked in a face-to-face sales role which led her to love speaking to people. She has always had an interest in technology so she joined Xact, working in the IT Support team alongside Rebecca and Ben.

    Kala loves finding candidates and getting to know them throughout the recruitment process. She also enjoys hearing about the candidate’s new role and how much they are enjoying it.

    Outside the office, Kala enjoys reading a range of books (mostly horror!) and watching movies (again mostly horror). She wants to eventually travel Asia and start a photography page on social media. She likes socialising with friends and watching Korean dramas.

  • Sandro Esposito

    Recruitment Consultant

    Sandro has been in the Recruitment sector for just over 6 months, he’s passionate about technology and is looking after the Software Engineering sector. When it comes to talking to candidates and clients he’s genuinely interested in what they’re working on and you can sense his excitement!

    Originally from Italy he has been living in the UK for over 4 years and loves its culture and language. He also wanted to study at Uni and in fact has just started his part time course in Business and Management.

    Out of the office he enjoys watching movies and television series, but also enjoys a nice dinner in a good restaurant, although we are TOLD he can provide a good recipe for an original Italian Carbonara or Bolognese, this point is yet to be proven…….

  • Scarlett Rossiter

    Sales Support Administrator

    Scarlett is returning to work after spending the last two years looking after her daughter full time.

    She lives in and loves Bristol where she likes to run, explore with her family and tend to the garden. She feels passionate about working for an independent business and feels proud to be a part of the Xact community.

    Past her years in the service industry along side studying for her degree, Scarlett’s professional background includes four years of media sales and two years with a ‘not for profit’ working with 15 – 17 years olds.

    Scarlett believes that all people should be entitled to the same opportunities in life and is always up for a natter about why.

  • Charlotte Baverstock

    Director

    Charlotte has been with Xact since 2012, bringing over 12 years of Sales and Marketing recruitment experience to the team.

    As well as being a Director at Xact she is an accomplished Senior Consultant, managing key client accounts, contract negotiation, business development and overseeing the recruitment and mentoring of junior members of the Xact team.

    Throughout her career Charlotte has developed a wonderful eye for sales and marketing talent and has a proven track record of successfully identifying and placing top talent in difficult to fill positions.

    Her communication style, work ethic, and being accessible at all times sets Charlotte apart from other recruiters.

    Charlotte is a wife and busy mum to two sons and most recent additions – twin daughters, who certainly keep her fit.

  • Helen House

    Office Manager & PA to the Managing Director

    Helen is our ever dependable Office Manager & PA to our MD, and has been with us since 2014.

    With a background in accountancy having worked for a varied number of organisations, from Commercial Banks to Colleges and accountancy firms.

    With experience in purchase ledger and management accounts Helen is ideally placed to support our growing business and ensure we are all pulling in the right direction.

    Helen is a married mum of two with an additional two very naughty fur babies. She spends her non Xact working days using her other life skills which include – but are not limited to – chef, taxi, nurse, toddler, wrestling coach, washing machine operator, mediator and cuddle giver in chief.

    Helen’s daily to-do list (and she oh so loves a to-do list) includes channelling her inner Mary Poppins, counting down the hours until bedtime and trying to at least look like she has her act together, although her rather unhealthy obsession with stationery and pens somewhat says otherwise.

  • Rebecca Needham

    Recruitment Consultant

    Currently she works as a Recruitment Consultant and has three years of industry experience, first learned at a corporate agency and now honed here at Xact where the company ethos makes it a great place to be.

    Rebecca takes time to get to know our candidates and supports our team when looking to place the right candidate to the right role, in addition to managing our job advertisements and database.

    Alongside all of this she is our self proclaimed Tea Manager, producing bespoke infusions for our team of hardworking consultants.

    Outside of work Rebecca is kept busy with her pet Beagle who demands a lot of attention, resulting in her favourite pastime of chilling out with wine and binge-watching Netflix with the family.

  • Smudge Baverstock

    Office dog

    Office dog and Head of Morale is an important role for any business, and I do not shirk from my responsibilities.

    I like to ensure that all lunch purchased by the team is put to good use and that all visitors are greeted with a warm welcome.

  • Jodie Comley

    Resourcer & Trainee Recruitment Consultant

    Jodie is fairly new to recruitment, with only 7 months’ experience. She previously worked within the Life Sciences sector but has always had an interest in Technology so joins us working in the Software Development market alongside Greg. Since her first day in Recruitment, she was hooked and has developed a strong passion for the job.

    Jodie thrives on building great relationships with clients and candidates alike throughout the whole placement cycle, as well as hearing how much they love their new role, well after their first day. She is available to work around candidates’ lives and availability to help them secure their dream role and therefore secure her clients the best talent.

    Outside of the office, Jodie loves eating out and socialising with friends. She has a baby bunny called Bubbles (was supposed to be fluffles!) who, for a rabbit, demands lots of attention! She loves hanging out with Family and has an obsession with Lion King!
