- We have audited our database and deleted all contacts who we haven’t received any correspondence from in the last 7 years.

Recruitment is a data driven industry and at Xact we deal with personal data every day. We use a multitude of sources, such as job-boards and social media, to ensure that we can find the best candidates and the ideal jobs. As we are committed to ensuring that we are respecting the rights and wishes of job seekers and employers we took this opportunity to re-access these sources and how the information is collected. We have made sure that our employees understand what can be done with your information.
We have introduced policies to restrict the length of time that we retain data to more accurately reflect how often candidates and employers are looking for new roles. This information is now also outlined within our privacy policy.

Accessing and updating your personal information
If you would like to access, or have us remove, any identifiable personal data that we have collected on you please get in contact with us using the contact details outlined on this page.We will aim to comply with your wishes as soon as possible unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal reasons.
We do maintain backups of our information to protect it from accidental or malicious deletion. We cannot ensure that your information will be fully removed from these backups as that would compromise their integrity. These backups are taken daily and retained for a minimum of 14 days.

Job applications made through this site
This website collects personal data of candidates for the purpose of processing a job application. We ask that these candidates provide an email address and name as well as a CV. The candidate may also provide a cover letter explaining why they think they would be a good fit for the role. This information is used to assess and contact the candidate. We may use any information voluntarily provided within the CV (linkedin profile, telephone number, email address etc.) to contact the candidate.
We may share the contents of the CV and cover letter with the employers. Any identifiable information will be removed before sharing this information with employers.
The candidate may opt-in to being put forwards for other roles that Xact thinks that they may be interested in. If the candidate chooses to opt in then their information will be used to assess and contact the candidate for other job opportunities.
This information is added to our candidate database to assist in processing the application. If we decide not to contact the candidate then they will not be added to our database and their information will not be retained beyond 6 months.
CV Registration
This website collects personal data of job seekers who wish to be added to our candidate database. This information is used to assess the job seekers suitability for a wide range of roles. Job seekers are asked to provide an email address, name and a copy of their CV. We may use any contact information voluntarily provided within the CV (linkedin profile, telephone number, email address etc.) to contact the job seeker. This information is added to our candidate database.
Submit a job
This website collects information about employers who are looking for candidates. We require the name and email address of the employer and also request information about the job role. This information is used to contact the employer and to assess the role that has been submitted. We may also contact the employer about other roles they may be looking to fill.
Contact forms
As well as the itemised forms mentioned above we may add additional forms onto this site. Any information submitted within these forms will send a message to a member of our team via email. The intended use of any information provided through these forms is clearly displayed to the on the form.
Some information requested on these contact forms is mandatory. These mandatory fields are required to fulfil the intended purpose of the form. If you are not comfortable submitting all of the information requested by the form then please get in contact using our contact details on this page.
Period for which the personal data will be stored
Any information submitted on this site is retained for seven years after the last contact between Xact Placements Limited and the subject to assist us in assessing candidates or employers. We specialise in tech sector job roles and the average duration for a job in this sector is five years. Due to this statistic we are confident in saying that the majority of subjects who will want to get in contact with us again will make contact within seven years. If a subject hasn’t been in contact in this time then their information will be deleted from our database.

At Xact Placements we use software to help assist in placing individuals. This software helps us to match candidates with employers. This software doesn’t make any decisions on subjects without being reviewed by a member of our team first.
Where we store your data
All information submitted to this site is stored within the EEA. Our data centres are based in the United Kingdom. If we move any information outside of the EEA it will only be transferred to countries that have an agreement with the United Kingdom and/or European Union, such as the Safe Harbour or Privacy Shield agreements.
